Letter B is a monogram in red and cherry stones with pearls. The first letter of the alphabet series.

What the picture shows

The letter has a classic form with two rounded bowls and a straight stem. Its body is filled with red faceted stones of different sizes, with white pearls sewn between them to lighten the deep colour. A double row of golden beads runs along the contour, holding the shape and separating the letter from the ground. Sixteen colours: red, cherry, gold and mother-of-pearl. The gaps between stones remain as print on the canvas, so the letter reads as a whole. The upper bowl of the letter is smaller than the lower one, as in classical type, so the monogram looks set rather than drawn by hand.
