Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Jelly-fish"

Jelly-fish is the longest piece in the series: a dome of lilac and blue sequins with long tentacles of pearls.

What the picture shows

The dome is seen from above and is almost symmetrical: pale blue sequins lie in rows like tiles, and a large lilac faceted stone with several smaller ones is sewn along the upper edge. The contour is edged with deep violet beads that catch the light. Tentacles hang loose below — strands of white and grey pearls, copper and navy beads of different lengths, moving as you walk. Twenty colours. The printed canvas shows between the rows and keeps the image from falling apart. The tentacles vary in length and colour, and the longest hang almost twice as far as the dome, so the piece stretches vertically. Several tentacles are curled while others hang straight, which makes the dome seem to drift rather than stand still.
