Description

“Harbinger of Darkness” is a black raven with long real feathers for a tail.

What the picture shows

The bird sits in profile, head lowered and beak heavy. The body is worked in black microbeads, while blue and steel highlights run across the wing — they are what keeps the figure from turning into one dark patch. Seventy-six bugle beads in three kinds lie along the wing in even strokes and read as flight feathers. Thirty-two sequins of two kinds are scattered over the back and fifteen bicones light up the breast. The tail is made from twelve centimetres of decorative feathers on a ribbon, so it moves independently of the embroidered part. The kit holds 18 bead colours and the difficulty is above average. Inside the outline the canvas is stitched densely.
