Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Handsome"

“Handsome” shows a bright bird with a red breast, a blue-and-white wing and a golden tail beside a sprig of guelder rose.

What the picture shows

The plumage is broken into colour patches: red beads on the breast, white and blue rows on the wing, black and grey on the head, while the tail is worked in yellow and orange beads laid in long strands. A cluster of red berries glows beside it. The lilac-pink ground stays printed, so the bird reads as raised above it. The circle is trimmed with pale blue beads. The second part of the work is a light base with a large cluster of red berries.

Both pieces are sewn together with the padding inside and hung on a pink ribbon. A bird with berries is a wintry rather than strictly festive motif, so the ornament suits a window through the whole cold season. The snowflakes, beads and the plate in the photo are styling props. The tail is worked in long strands, so every row noticeably changes the bird’s silhouette. The pattern is in colour, printed straight on the canvas, with no squares to count.
