Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Green apple"

“Green apple” is an apple cut in half: the left side whole and green, the right showing pale flesh with seeds.

What the picture shows

The left part is worked in several greens, from lime to deep, with fine gold veining; two faceted olive stones are set into it. The right half is light, cream and pearl, with a thin gold rim along the cut edge and two black drop-shaped seeds at the very core. A dark green leaf with a raised vein sits on top, and a gold stem with an amber bead at its tip runs up from it. Seventeen colours make the richest palette among the fruit pieces in the batch, and most of them are greens. The cut half is lighter than everything else, which is why the eye lands on it first.

The piece is vertical and small. The embroidery is cut out along the outline of the apple and mounted as a brooch; the stones, the pin and the backing are chosen separately. The two halves differ in character: the green one is worked in dense arcs, the pale one in even horizontal rows along the cut.
