“Good catch” is a black cat with a golden fish in its teeth.

What the picture shows

The cat’s face is shown head-on and worked almost entirely in black microbeads — colour is kept to a minimum here and the shape does the work. The ears are pointed, with a short pale rim inside. The eyes are made from decorative resin cabochons, so they shine differently from the beads and catch your attention at once. Turquoise whiskers of bugle beads run out from the nose, the only bright line in the upper half. Below, the cat holds a golden-red fish worked in fine beads, with bicones and sequins standing in for scales. The kit holds 14 bead colours. Inside the outline the canvas is stitched densely, then cut out.
