Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Gnome"

“Gnome” is a brooch of a gnome in a red hat with a fluffy white pompom.

What the picture shows

The whole figure is really a hat and a beard. The hat is worked in red and dark red beads with bright bicones set along the folds, so the fabric seems to crease; the tip bends softly to one side. Under the hat only the nose shows — a single bead — and a wide white beard, which is a real fur pompom from the kit rather than embroidery. A band of dark beads with a pearl and a leaf runs along the lower edge of the hat. The kit holds 12 bead colours. Inside the outline the canvas is stitched densely, then cut out and assembled.

The finished piece is 55×87 mm and looks bulky once the pompom is on. The level is average and the work is short: there are few large areas and the pompom covers part of the figure. The fir sprig and the cones in the photograph are styling props and are not in the kit. The design is printed straight onto the canvas, so there are no squares to count: the colour you need shows under the needle.
