Description

“Eastern motive” is an elongated brooch with a paisley pattern in blue and turquoise.

What the picture shows

A large teardrop paisley lies in the centre, worked in white and silvery beads with a red curl inside. Navy and turquoise outlines run around it, with fine white dots marking the border. Below sits a smaller diamond-shaped medallion with red and white dots, and above it three red strokes read as buds. The ground is pale turquoise, closed by a dense blue border with white beads. Ten colours make the shortest palette among the elongated pieces, which is exactly why the pattern reads so clearly. Red works in small touches here — just enough to keep the pattern from reading as cold.
