Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Easter Star"

“Easter Star” is an egg-shaped pendant with a red-and-gold eight-pointed star on a graphite ground.

What the picture shows

The star is worked in red beads over the printed outline, with golden beads between the rays repeating the fine ornament of the background. The dark grey ground itself carries printed floral scrolls and is left open — which is what makes the star glow as it would on a real pysanka. The egg is trimmed with a golden rim and hangs on a grey ribbon. The second part of the work is a matching dark egg with a different version of the star, broader and more geometric. The golden beads between the rays echo the printed ornament.

The pieces are sewn together, the decorative filler goes inside and a ribbon loop is left. Eggs like these hang on willow branches in a vase or go into a basket alongside real ones. The pattern is printed on the canvas in colour, so there is nothing to count. The pussy willow, straw birds and wooden eggs in the photo are styling props. The red rays are worked from the centre, and their length decides the symmetry of the star.
