“Delicate magnolia” is a magnolia brooch in pink and pearl shades, with feathers below.

What the picture shows

The flower opens almost head-on: broad petals overlap and spread from the centre. They are stitched in pink, powder and white microbeads, and pearls of two kinds mark the pale highlights where the petals fold. Several drops of different shapes gather at the heart and give the shine that stamens would give a living flower. Below, the flower runs into a dark branch, and pale pink decorative feathers are fixed under it to extend the piece. The kit holds 21 bead colours, so the pinks shade very gradually. Inside the outline the canvas is stitched densely, then cut out.

The finished piece is 67×79 mm without the feathers. The level is average and the work is calm: many even areas and few small stones. The brooch is worn on a coat or a jacket; the background and the flowers in the photograph are styling props and are not in the kit. The finished embroidery is cut out along the outline, the back is closed with a base, and the clasp from the kit is fixed to it.
