Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Dandelion"

Dandelion is a round brooch in which the fluffy dandelion head has turned into a blue-and-lilac disc with rays.

What the picture shows

The shape is a true circle, 47×47 mm. Rays of small beads run out from the centre in every direction — silver, blue, lilac and deep navy — so the disc looks like an opened parachute of seeds. Towards the edge the colours thicken into violet, and a row of dark beads runs along the very contour. A large domed turquoise stone is sewn at the centre and edged with pale beads. Sixteen colours. Print remains on the canvas between the rays, and it is this that holds the smooth change of tone. The rays are of different lengths and some reach beyond the circle in single small beads, so the edge looks fluffy rather than cut.
