“Crocus” is an upright crocus brooch with violet petals and bright green leaves.

What the picture shows

The flower stands straight, its petals closed into a cup and parting a little at the top. They are worked in violet and lilac microbeads with darker lines down the middle of each petal, which shows their shape. A crimson drop glows inside, and a second one sits lower, where the petals fold. Leaves rise on both sides in two long bands of grass green and pale green beads. The kit holds 19 colours, most of them given over to the shifts of violet. Inside the outline the printed canvas is stitched densely, then cut out.
