Description

“Corn” is a cob of corn with pearl kernels and a green husk leaf.

What the picture shows

The cob lies at an angle, its pointed tip upwards. The kernels are not beads but seventeen pearls of two kinds, set in regular rows and giving the same roundness as real grains. The gaps between the rows are filled with cream and golden microbeads. A green husk leaf reaches out on the left, worked in two shades of green, its edge picked out with sixteen centimetres of bullion wire in two kinds. Seventeen sequins of two kinds are scattered over the leaf and catch the light. The kit holds 14 bead colours. Inside the outline the printed canvas is stitched densely, then cut out.
