Description

“Christmas mood” shows a fawn’s head inside a full wreath of berries, needles and winter flowers on a mint ground.

What the picture shows

The wreath is worked generously: dark green needles, red berries, blue and white flowers, and a golden band under the muzzle. The fawn itself stays printed — a pinkish face with closed eyes — and the beads only frame it. The base is square, the pale mint ground dotted with small white specks. The edge is trimmed with white beads. The second part of the work uses the same mint base with a colourful branch of red, blue and golden berries. The fawn’s closed eyes stay printed and set the mood of the piece.

The wreath is built from small elements — a berry, a leaf, a flower — and that fineness is what makes it look woven. The pattern is printed straight on the canvas.
