Description

“Celestial Duet” is a round brooch with a gold sun on a deep blue sky.

What the picture shows

The composition is closed into a circle. The ground is worked in dark blue and night blue microbeads laid in concentric rows, so it reads as the depth of the sky. A gold disc sits at the centre, built from fine golden beads, with rays of bugle beads spreading from its rim — fifty-three pieces, each following its own direction. On the left the disc runs into a thin crescent moon in a lighter shade, and that is where the duet of the title comes from. Eighteen rondelles in four kinds and nine bicones are scattered over the dark field like stars. Four leaf stones cover the join of the circle. The kit holds 18 bead colours.
