Description

“Butterfly” is a brooch where each wing carries a flower pattern. It is not a portrait of a real species but an invented insect, put together from tiny beads into a patchwork of colour.

What the picture shows

The wings are spread symmetrically and outlined in dark violet. The upper pair is lilac and pale blue with small red dots near the edge; the lower pair is worked in green and blue with round rosettes that read as flowers. A blue centre glows in the middle of each wing, and a dark body with thin antennae runs between them. The palette rests on three groups — lilac-blue, green and red. The beads follow the drawn lines in dense rows, so the printed canvas shows only in the narrow gaps between rows and along the very edge.
