Bast in the night-A is the same seated cat, this time in a night palette: black beads with copper shifts.

What the picture shows

The base of the figure is black and graphite beads, with copper, bronze and greyish-blue scrolls running over it: a large spiral on the haunch, arcs on the chest, small rings along the back. Black faceted stones are set here and there — they catch the light and break up the dark plane. The eye is a green-blue bead, the one bright point in the whole piece. A silvery-grey outline traces the contour and separates the dark figure from the fabric. Seventeen colours are hard to tell apart one by one, but together they give the metallic sheen this dark version was made for. The printed scheme stays in the gaps between beads.
