Bast-A is a white and gold cat sitting in profile like an Egyptian figurine.

What the picture shows

The figure is tall and upright: a straight back, pointed ears, the tail curled around the paws. The body is worked in white, cream and pearl beads, and scrolls are laid over it in gold — a large spiral on the haunch, arcs along the back, rings on the chest. Pink stones are set in a few places: one on the chest, another low down beside the paw. The eye is a small blue bead, the only cool note in a warm palette. Seventeen colours stay within white, cream, gold and powdery pink. A pale bead outline traces the contour, so the silhouette reads clearly on dark fabric, and the printed scheme remains between the beads.
