Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Azurite"

Azurite is a scarab beetle in blue and gold, worked in beads, crystals and golden sequins.

What the picture shows

The beetle is seen from above, its body long and oval. A band of golden sequins laid in overlapping rows runs down the middle of the back — it works like a shell and carries the brightest shine. On either side sit turquoise and sapphire faceted stones, small pearls and green beads that deepen towards emerald. The outline is traced with a row of gold beads, followed by a dark blue edging. The head and antennae are made of long gold bugle beads and blue rounds; the legs on both sides are the same strands, tipped with light blue and amber drops. Sixteen colours move from pale turquoise to deep ultramarine, and the printed scheme stays visible between the beads in a matching tone.
