“Autumn gold” is a shaped bracelet worked in a warm ochre and orange palette.

What the picture shows

The band narrows towards the clasps and widens in the middle like a leaf. The design is built from rounded scrolls: orange, copper, terracotta and brick rows curve in circles, with grey shafts laid between them that read as stems. Amber faceted drops and a hatchet-shaped stone are set into the design, and golden rows glitter along the edges. The canvas is covered densely, and it is the contrast between matt beads and clear stones that gives the effect of embers. Fourteen colours are enough to keep the warm shades from merging into one patch. The darkest brick rows are gathered at the edges, so the middle of the bracelet glows brighter than the rest.
