Description

With love-4 holds two parts in one piece: roses in a gold frame above, a pale heart with a purple bow below.

What the picture shows

The upper half is a rectangle outlined in golden beads holding three roses: a large pink one with a spiral heart, a red one and a smaller crimson bloom, with dark green leaves outlined in white between them. The lower half is a cream heart with printed scrolls inside; its outline is laid in two rows of pink and crimson beads. On the right a purple ribbon with a bow, worked in lilac and deep violet, ties around it. The yellow-pink ground with its central band stays as print. There are 8 colours. The gold frame is worked first: it divides the piece in two and sets the limit for both subjects. The purple ribbon and bow are done last: they cross the heart and have to lie over the outline already worked.
