Teddy bear - 4 shows a ginger bear cub holding a green ball, sitting under a pine branch tied with a pink bow.

What the picture shows

The branch above is worked in green beads with the long needles laid in tufts; a bell of golden and black beads hangs between them and a large pink bow is tied on top. The cub is outlined in amber, with a pale scarf at its neck and a green-and-yellow ball in its paws. A red and an orange bauble sway on threads to the right, each worked as a spiral. The pale ground with its small printed bell pattern is left unbeaded, and a white bead frame runs around the edge. There are 11 colours. The branch comes first: the tufts of needles set the upper limit, and the figure and baubles are fitted beneath it. The baubles on the right are worked as spirals from the centre, and that is what makes them look round rather than like flat discs on a thread.
