Description

Teddy bear - 3 shows a pale bear cub with a pink bow, a Christmas bauble on a ribbon and a small green tree beside it.

What the picture shows

The bauble at the upper left is worked as a spiral of blue, green and white beads, with a pink two-loop bow tied above it. The cub sits in the centre: the outline in pink and lilac, the bow at its neck in crimson, the paws shown as pale ovals. A tree of green beads with yellow lights stands at the lower right, and a spool of blue thread lies on the left. A lilac bead frame runs around the perimeter. The pale blue ground with its snowflakes stays as print — no beads go there. The 10 colours make a cool range with pink. The bauble is best worked first: the spiral needs an even tension, while the rest is outline work and goes quickly. The tree below is worked from the bottom up with the rows narrowing, and the yellow lights are added last, once the green crown is finished.
