Description

Teddy bear - 1 shows a white bear cub in a red star-patterned cap and a turquoise skirt, with a small basket in one paw.

What the picture shows

The cap and bodice are worked in red beads dotted with white, and the cap carries dark blue stars. The skirt is turquoise, built from horizontal rows with a white trim along the hem. The face stays as print — the nose, dark eyes and pale fur are visible, and only the outline of the head and the ears are beaded. A wicker basket of golden beads hangs from the paw on the right. An ochre panel sits behind, edged with a bead frame, and small flowers and stars are scattered across the pale field in the corners. The 10 colours make a warm range with a turquoise accent. The cap is the natural starting point: it sets the tilt of the head and the largest red area, and the skirt follows in even rows from the hem up.
