Description

Miss you – 1 shows a shaggy grey-and-white puppy looking over a white fence, with a thick bed of garden flowers below.

What the picture shows

The lower third of the piece is filled with large blooms: red, orange, pink and lilac peonies, each worked as a dense spiral, with dark green leaves between them. The fence is shown as vertical rows of white and grey beads. The puppy’s face stays as print — the black nose and shaggy coat are visible, and only the ears and outline are beaded. A band of red and white beads runs along the top and acts as a frame inside the picture. The pale ground is left bare. Of the 9 colours the red-pink group dominates. The peonies below are worked first, starting with the largest, since they decide where the fence ends.
