Bead Embroidery Postcard Kit "Kharkov"
Description
Kharkov shows the white Mirror Stream rotunda under a blue sky, with the city’s coat of arms and a branch of guelder rose beside it.
What the picture shows
The rotunda is worked in white and pale blue beads along its arches and dome and takes up most of the piece; the stream of water and the balustrade show beneath it. The city arms sit at the upper right: a yellow shield with a green horn of plenty and a crossed staff, outlined in dark beads. A branch of guelder rose with red berries and dark green leaves hangs on the left, and a vertical ribbon of red-and-black embroidery pattern runs along the very edge. The city name is laid in white beads at the lower right, and blue-and-yellow ribbons cross the corners. Trees and sky stay as print. There are 9 colours. The rotunda is worked from the top down, arch by arch. The red-and-black patterned ribbon runs along the edge in even repeats and is the longest continuous stretch in the piece.
