Description

Happy New Year – 4 has Father Frost in a red coat carrying a sack of presents, with a puppy scampering beside him. Behind them, a blue sky full of snow.

What the picture shows

White beads make up all the fur: the coat trim, the hat, the beard and the moustache — the largest pale mass in the piece. The red clothing is outlined in red and burgundy rows, the belt and buckle in black and gold. The sack at the bottom is worked in bronze and gold with a white rabbit peeping out of it, and a blue parcel with a beaded bow lies alongside. A green fir branch with a yellow lantern and a small bird fills the upper right. Raised snowflakes of white beads are scattered across the blue ground. His face, the puppy and the distant firs stay as print. Ten colours.
