Description

Happy Christmas – 1 shows a decorated tree in a room with a tall arch, presents beneath it and a ginger kitten asleep. A home evening when everything is already done.

What the picture shows

The tree takes almost the full height: the needles are worked in green beads in short rows, with baubles spread evenly across them — red and yellow, a few beads each. A gold star of bronze beads crowns the top. Two vertical gold rows run down either side of the tree, framing the picture like columns. Presents with red, blue and gold bows lie at the bottom, and a ginger kitten is curled up beside them, left as print. The room behind, with its arch and warm light, is printed too, which is what gives the scene depth. Nine bead colours, three of them shades of green.
