Description

Happy 8th of March (Women's Day) – 6 shows a ginger teddy bear in a hat made from a purple flower, sitting in the grass among tall yellow blooms.

What the picture shows

The top of the piece is blue sky with white clouds and a pale sun, and it stays as print. Below that the beading begins: the flower hat in purple and blue with yellow stamens, the bear outlined in orange and gold, a patch with pink dots on its tummy. Stems with yellow globe flowers and long green leaves in several rows run up the left side. A blue pot with flowers and a red ladybird stands at the lower left, with green blades of grass on the right. The 8 colours are split between the greens, the yellow and the blue-purple group. The long leaves are worked as a single row along each stem, and how evenly they lie decides the whole lower half. The sky is left as it is — the contrast with the unbeaded top gives the piece its air.
