Description

Flowers by angel shows a fair-haired little angel with a white bow holding a basket full of pink and blue flowers.

What the picture shows

The basket at the centre is worked in golden beads in horizontal rows, with a tall handle; pink, red, crimson and pale blue rosettes with white centres look out of it. The angel’s wings are shown in white beads in short rows, and the bow on the head is white too, with a pink dot. Two red hearts and one pink one are laid at the upper right. A frame of small flowers — pink, blue, white and yellow — with green leaves runs around the perimeter. The face and the pale ground stay as print. There are 9 colours. The flower frame is worked first: it is long and repetitive, but the rest goes noticeably faster afterwards. The basket is worked in horizontal rows from the bottom up with the handle as a separate arch, so the weave does not merge with the flowers.
