Description

“Feather” is a single long feather in turquoise, green and violet with a pattern running through it.

What the picture shows

The feather lies on the diagonal and fills almost the whole height of the chart. The tip is worked in emerald and grass green, the middle lightens into turquoise and mint, and the lower part moves into violet and ink blue. A pattern of small diamonds and dashes runs along the shaft, holding the drawing together and giving it depth. The edges are broken up with separated barbs, so the silhouette stays lively rather than flat. The eight colours blend into one another without hard borders. The ground is left unstitched: the white Aida stays open, and the feather looks as if it is lying on a sheet of paper. The work is set into the acrylic key-ring frame.
