Bead Embroidery Postcard Kit "Easter – 3"

Easter – 3 puts two chicks in the grass in front of a gold oval, like a small festive portrait. One is yellow, the other darker and striped.

What the picture shows

The oval in the centre is outlined with rows of gold and bronze beads — the brightest line in the piece and the one that holds the frame together. Inside it the blue-grey print is left as it is, so the chicks read clearly against it. A willow branch climbs the upper left with white catkins on a dark brown stem, and beside it a lilac cluster is built from pink and crimson beads. The same pink clusters repeat lower down on the right. Green beads worked in short stitches make the grass at the bottom, next to a white egg with a lilac shadow. The chicks' down, feet and beaks stay printed; the nine bead colours go to the surround, the flowers and the grass.
