Bead Embroidery Postcard Kit "Easter – 2"

Easter – 2 shows a chick wearing half an eggshell tipped sideways like a little hat, surrounded by pink spring blossom. The scene is faintly comic and very warm.

What the picture shows

The main detail is the eggshell above the chick's head: dense rows of beads run from white at the rim to lilac-blue inside, giving the shell real relief. Above and below it sit clusters of apple blossom — pink and crimson petals with yellow stamens, dark green leaves and an almost black branch cutting across the frame on the diagonal. Smaller white and pink flowers fill the lower right. The chick itself, yellow down and dark eye, stays printed on the canvas, as does the cool grey-green background: the beads build the raised details rather than covering the surface. Nine colours carry the range from white to deep green.
