Bead Embroidery Postcard Kit "Easter – 10"
Description
Easter – 10 has two children and a rabbit drifting past a flowering tree in an eggshell used as a boat. The subject comes straight from spring cards of a century ago.
What the picture shows
On the right the white shell floats on the water, its rim outlined in white and blue beads — that is the boat. A girl in blue and a boy in red sit inside with a brown rabbit beside them; all three figures stay as print. A tree grows on the left: the trunk is worked in long rows of brown and bronze beads, the crown in green rounds, with pink and white flowers and yellow centres scattered over it. Turquoise beads lie along the bottom in long strands that read as ripples. The distant hills, the bridge and the sky remain watercolour print. Eleven colours — the most in this series.
