Description

Congratulations – 6 has a grinning cartoon butterfly with blue wings holding a red flower. The colours run right through the rainbow, from yellow to crimson.

What the picture shows

The wings on the right are worked in blue beads dotted with pink and white — the largest beaded area in the piece. The body is yellow, outlined in beads with orange rows, and the antennae curl in gold and pink. The red flower on the left is made of red beads with a yellow centre, its leaves in elongated green. Pink and crimson beaded waves curl along the bottom and the side like ribbons. The background itself — a soft rainbow wash from yellow-green to pink — stays as print and gives the piece its light. Ten bead colours: nearly the whole bright half of the palette.
