Description

Congratulations – 4 shows a ginger tabby in a blue and yellow scarf holding out a pink flower. The drawing is cartoonish, with big eyes and a wide grin.

What the picture shows

The cat is outlined entirely in beads — orange and brown rows along the back, paws and tail — so the figure reads as a silhouette. The scarf is worked in two colours, blue and yellow in alternating bands with a fringe at the bottom. The flower in his paw is made of pink and crimson beads on a green stem and leaf. A pale arc of white and pink beads curves behind him like a ribbon. The cat's body itself — ginger stripes, pink nose, white whiskers — stays as print, as does the yellow-green-pink ground. Nine bead colours go to the outlines and two or three large patches.
