Description

Congratulations – 2 shows a basket brimming with forget-me-nots and a dachshund peering out of it. You do not spot the dog at once, and that is the joke of the piece.

What the picture shows

The flowers are beaded generously and almost solidly: blue and turquoise forget-me-nots with yellow centres, pink and crimson florets, white daisies, and green leaves of elongated beads between them. The handle is worked in gold beads, the basket below in brown and bronze rows, with a turquoise ribbon of pale blue beads beside it. The dachshund's head in the centre stays as print: sleek black and tan coat, long ears, dark eyes. The cream background is left unbeaded as well, which is what makes the bouquet look so raised. Eight bead colours, mostly blues, pinks and greens.
