Description

“Among stars and clouds” puts one long cloud and seven stars on a pale blue field. A children's card, quiet in colour and noticeably raised to the touch.

What the picture shows

The cloud is stretched horizontally across the upper third of the sheet, worked in white, pale blue and silver beads in several rounded ridges, which makes it look soft. Seven five-pointed stars are scattered below and to the right — two yellow, three orange, two cream-white. Each is filled from the centre out to the points, and the edges lift clearly off the base. Two small printed rectangles reading “sweet” and “baby” lie between the stars. The pale blue ground is not beaded over — it stays as printing, and it is against it that the cloud and the stars read as separate raised pieces. Nine bead colours.
