Description

A clearing in the flowers shows a ginger bear cub with an armful of blooms sitting inside a daisy wreath, with blue bubbles drifting above.

What the picture shows

The wreath runs around the figure as an oval: white and pink flowers with yellow centres strung close together, with green leaves between them. The cub is outlined in gold, its paws holding a posy of orange and pink rosettes. Rings of white and blue beads, like soap bubbles, are laid across the blue field above. A pink heart with a double outline hangs on the left. A band of pink checked cloth, stitched in rows, runs along the bottom, with a yellow flower growing from it. The watercolour ground stays as print. There are 8 colours. The wreath is worked first — it sets the oval the cub is then fitted into. The bubble rings above are worked in circles from an equal count of beads, otherwise they lose their shape and read as blots.
