Description

“Treasures from the sea” is a collage in denim blues: a ship's wheel, an anchor, a compass and a fishing net around a frame with an old sailing ship.

What the picture shows

In the centre sits a blue frame edged with fine white and pink beads; inside it a printed silhouette of a ship under sail and faded handwriting remain. Top left there is a dark ship's wheel in brown and gold beads, a bronze anchor and a compass with a green dial. Below, the side of a wooden boat, a white net with shells and two silvery fish. On the right a lifebuoy hangs from green rope, and in the bottom corner a white ship sails under full canvas. A narrow band of orange, yellow and black beads runs down the left edge, and rings of white and pink beads are scattered across the field. The painted ground, the handwriting and the ship itself stay printed.
