Description

“Garland” shows a large coral heart in a wreath of small flowers hanging from a branch, with beaded drops swinging beside it.

What the picture shows

The heart in the middle stays printed — an even terracotta-coral colour with the texture of the canvas showing. Around it a dense garland of beaded flowers is laid: white and pink five-petal blooms with yellow centres, raspberry clusters, green and turquoise leaves. At the top the heart hangs on a thin pink thread from a brown branch, which also carries a cluster of red berries. Small outlined hearts in cream beads swing to the left and right, and between them hang long drops with beads and tassels. In the lower right an oval frame of pink beads holds a printed inscription. The white ground is not beaded.
