Description

“For you” is a pennant on warm ochre canvas where the word LOVE grows out of a dense bunch of flowers.

What the picture shows

The letters are laid in large pearly cream beads with a soft sheen, set in two lines. Flowers push through them: a big red mallow with a black centre in the middle, an orange daisy with a yellow eye, pink bells, and lilac and purple clusters in the corners. The foliage is thick, in three greens, with long curling tendrils at the bottom. The ground is an even ochre-sand colour like sacking, and it stays printed on the canvas: beads go only on the letters, flowers and leaves, so the bunch stands clearly above the surface. The finished piece is an upright pennant with cut corners at the bottom.
