Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Zinnia"

«Zinnia» shows a single large zinnia opened across the canvas inside a soft green frame.

What the picture shows

The flower fills almost the whole left and centre: its petals lie in several tight rings, from pale pink and cream at the edges to deep crimson near the middle. The heart of the bloom is worked in small cherry, green and yellow beads, as if strewn with tiny stars. A short stem with two dark green leaves runs down from it. A small green butterfly sits at the upper right, above a handwritten English motto, «the garden is a mirror of the heart». A fine blue-green beaded border frames the picture. The beadwork is partial: beads form the flower, the leaves, the butterfly and the border, while the light green watercolour ground and the lettering stay printed on the canvas.
