«Visiting a sweet tooth» is a mountain of party sweets: a tiered cake with a candle, cupcakes, gifts and butterflies all around.

What the picture shows

At the centre rises a three-tier cake in blue and lilac, trimmed with flowers, berries and wavy edges of icing, a slim candle burning on top. Around it stand pink and turquoise cupcakes in striped cases, gift boxes tied with a ribbon and bow, and a toy giraffe at the right. Hearts, tiny blossoms and butterflies float through the air. The palette is sweet and warm: powdery pink, crimson, mint and blue on a peach ground. The beadwork is partial: beads form the cake, the cupcakes, the gifts, the hearts, the flowers and the butterflies, while the soft peach background stays painted on the canvas.
