Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Transparency of watercolors"
Description
“Transparency of watercolors” shows a pale bouquet in an old tin planter standing against a faded wall.
What the picture shows
The bouquet gathers cream callas with long curling spathes, ivory flowers with rusty centres, sprigs of lilac and big greenish-white hydrangea heads. Small green leaves and thin trailing shoots wind between them and spill over the rim. The planter is brown-ochre and tapered, lettered in an old-fashioned hand, with a small four-leaf clover in one corner. The background is a warm ochre wall stained and streaked like aged plaster, with a narrow sill visible along the bottom. Beading is partial: all the flowers, the foliage, the planter and its lettering are worked in beads, while the faded, mottled wall stays printed on the canvas.
