“Sweet shop” shows a little girl stopped in front of a window full of cupcakes, with a ginger cat sitting beside her.

What the picture shows

On the left stands a girl in a lilac dress with thin straps, a bow in her fair hair and a blue bag over her shoulder; she props her cheek on her hand and studies the sweets. To the right and above are three shelves crowded with cupcakes: swirled crowns of frosting in pink, turquoise, chocolate and lemon, sprinkles, a cherry, striped paper cases. An English sign glows above the shelves. The background is crimson with warm orange light deeper in. A ginger tabby cat sits at the girl's feet, looking up at her. Coverage is full: beads fill the whole surface, background and floor included.
