What the picture shows

The bouquet fills almost the whole canvas: a dozen large yellow sunflowers with dark centres, and among them small pink, white and blue flowers with sprigs of greenery. The vase is round and terracotta-orange, with a glossy highlight on its side. On the pale tabletop in front lie a green pear, a small red apple, tiny blue berries and one more cut sunflower. The background is a deep crimson with paint running down it. The beadwork is partial: beads cover all the sunflowers with their centres, the small flowers, the foliage, the vase and the fruit on the table, while the crimson ground, the tabletop and the paint runs stay printed on the canvas.
