What the picture shows

Three golden-green lizards with large eyes are set in a triangle: two above, muzzle to muzzle, the third below at the centre. They wind around green ribbons that meet at a dark octagon filled with orange Celtic knotwork. Open irises surround them in lilac, violet, pink and white. Butterflies with russet and blue wings rest at the top and at the bottom. Vertical panels of Celtic braid run down the left and right edges. Coverage is partial: beads fill the lizards, the ribbons, the irises, the butterflies and the side panels, while the blurred green background stays painted on the canvas.
