Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Summer mood"

“Summer mood” — a large stylised sun-flower amid a patchwork pattern, done in the spirit of fabric painting.

What the picture shows

At the centre is a round core with pink and yellow rays, from which long pointed petal-leaves spread in every direction, each carrying its own design: stripes, arcs, chains of dots. The space between them is filled with “patches” — turquoise, blue, green, orange and raspberry fields in assorted patterns, as though stitched together. The outlines throughout are dark and emphatic, as in batik. Coverage is partial: beads run in rows along the outlines, stripes and small motifs, while the large colour fields stay printed, giving a raised, glinting drawing over a painted ground. The design has no fixed top or bottom, so the finished piece can hang whichever way you prefer and the flower shape will still read outwards from the centre.
