What the picture shows

Above are a pale sky and turquoise water, with a blue band of distant hills beyond. On the right a green headland juts into the sea, carrying a white lighthouse tower; a light path winds up to it and the slopes are thick with greenery. To the left runs a strip of sandy shore with dark rocks standing out of the water. The whole lower half of the canvas is meadow: white daisies, pink and red poppies, blue bells, yellow and lilac flowers in deep grass. The beadwork is partial: you bead the meadow, the headland, the lighthouse and the shoreline rocks, while the sea, the sky and the far hills stay as print, so the distance keeps its light, transparent feel.
